Silver Brumby drawings

From when I was about 8, my favourite books by far were the Silver Brumby series by Elyne Mitchell, (I was very big on the little-girl-horsey stage). I must have read 'The Silver Brumby,' 'Siver Brumby's Kingdom,' and 'Silver Brumbies of the South' about fifty times each. What did I say - I loved those books!

When I wasn't re-reading them again and again, I tried to copy the chapter pictures (by Ralph Thompson).

I think I must have been about ten when I drew these (the one on the top right was only sketched out, I completed it just now, using the basic sketch, so that isn't quite as old as the others.).

What I can't belive is how good they are! I mean, yes I was copying them straight from somebody else's drawings, but for that age!

I just wish I'd kept improving from there rather than slipped back so much - think of where I could be now!
