on the subject of *Jacobite1, I would like to draw everybody's attentions to his contest here: [link]
which is based on his story 'A Small Place In the Sun' which you can find here: [link]
It has some rather impressive prizes, and the deadline is the end of May, which soulds like plenty of time to work on your entries. I don't know if I can take part in this one - I still have far too many projects on the go - but I'm hoping some of you will be interested...
I've got a slight break from work today having just handed in one report and finished writing a program for tomorrow morning. I then have three weeks over easter to work on three or more other assignments, as well as finishing off a drawing I had intended to enter to *nathie's contest which finished last week - but me being me I took too much time and missed the deadline, despite such marathons as spending 25hours working on it in just the last two days before the deadline (as well as four hours lectures on each day...). Hopefully though I can now slow down and make the drawing something really worth seeing here.
As may be apparent from my most recent upload, I've started to get into nerf guns. So far I've only painted the one in my gallery, but I've also been making holsters and a dart pouch which I will be photographing and uploading sometime over easter. as well as possibly starting work on designing some modifications and a paintjob for my maverick, but that's way down on the list at the moment.
Another project on the go at the moment, is a fluffy companion cube beanbag
It's yet another thing that has been started and placed on hold for a while now. I won't be able to take it home with me, so it will have to remain 'on hold' until after easter, but hopefully I can clear up enough other things to find the time to work on the cube when I get back - it's tough having a big fluffy beanbag sitting on my chair, and having to avoid it because it's full of pins at the moment
I have many other plans for things to make at some point, from a protective sleeve for my laptop, to a little model of the clockwork tophat you can find in my gallery.
I also made the mistake of starting to play Mass Effect, which stole a week of my time, although I have managed to tear myself away from it for a few weeks now. You might expect some fanart from that over easter too - it's been added onto my lsit of films/games that I really need to draw stuff from. Which is a REALLY LONG list
SO while it might seem like I've been very quiet here, I have been working very hard, seriously
Unfortunately a lot of what I've been working on is either unfinished, or personal concepts for my biggest unfinished project which I don't want to say too much about until I've sorted out what I can show without spoilers
rambling journal to satisfy need to uptade
